What is Susucoin and how does it work?

Susucoin is a cryptocurrency that was created on June 26, 2018. It enables users to upload data to the Susuchain, the Susucoin blockchain.
Users with a Susucoin wallet (downloadable here or built from source), upon downloading the Susuchain, can acquire susucoins via three methods:

• Mining;
• Purchase;
• The Susucoin Onsen (also known as the Fountain).

When there is a transaction, your data goes to the memory pool until further verification which, on average, takes only two minutes.

What makes Susucoin different from other coins?



Susucoin's primary focus is securing free speech. To this end, up to 512 bytes can be allocated to each transaction. With the SUMO Protocol, users will be able to link multiple transactions, thus increasing length.

How is Susucoin securing free speech?

By allowing users to upload posts to the Susuchain, the Susucoin blockchain. Posts uploaded to the Susuchain can't be deleted and are out of the reach of authoritarian governments, censorious corporations, and overzealous moderators.

How do I archive my data?

In the future, posts on 5ch will have an Archive post button, which will enable users to upload data to the Susuchain.

Susucoin will also have its own site to upload messages to the Susuchain additionally.

What can I upload to the Susuchain?

At this time, Susucoin supports the easy uploading of text-only posts (including ASCII and Shift_JIS).
While technically possible, we will not provide a way to upload files to the Susuchain using Susucoin.

How can I see the posts I archive with Susucoin?

How do I get susucoins?



Users can acquire susucoins using three methods:

• Mining;
• Purchase (currently available on: Faldax);
• The Susucoin Onsen (also known as the Fountain).

How can I purchase Susucoins?

• Have Bitcoin;
• Register at Faldax.com;
• Download the Susucoin wallet (Windows/MAC OS/Source Code available);
• Get Susucoins at Faldax.com;
• Transfer your susucoins to your Susucoin wallet.

How does the Susucoin Onsen work?

The Susucoin Onsen, or the Fountain, gives you a chance of acquiring susucoins without having to mine or purchase them.
To use the Susucoin Onsen, please follow these steps:

• Copy your Susucoin address (please refer to How do I generate an address);
• Go to 5ch's Susucoin board;
• Enter your Susucoin address in the Email field and a message of your choice in the Comment field;
• A random small amount of susucoins will be sent to your Susukey Holder shortly thereafter.

Please note: the Susucoin Onsen will dry up eventually, but not for the foreseeable future.

What does the susu in Susucoin stand for?

The name Susucoin is based on ススキ　(susuki) or, in English, Japanese pampas grass, the archetypal flower of Autumn in Japan.

Who is Susuko?

Susuko is Susucoin's mascot. She is a Japanese girl who likes collecting things and panics when she thinks about the possibility of having amnesia.

Do I need a digital wallet?

Susucoin provides its own wallet called the Susukey Holder or Susucoin Core. Download it here for Windows and Mac

How do I mine?

From the menu bar, look for Help and select Debug window. A new window will appear.

In the new window, you will see tab buttons. On Console, you can issue commands. This is where you can issue mining commands like what you can see in the image below. To mine, issue the command generate n where n can be any positive whole number.

How do I generate an address?

From the client app, you can see tab buttons at the top.

Choose Receive. You can also hover over each button to view hints. While on the Receive tab, you may add Label, Amount, and Message before generating an address. You may also hover over each field to view hints. When you are done, click on the Request payment button just below the Message input field. Then, a popup will show you where the address will be displayed.

Are there any limits to Susucoin? How many posts can I archive?

The total amount of existing susucoins is 105,000,000.
There is no limit to how much data you can archive. It only depends on how much you want to spend, as you need to pay a (very low) Susucoin transaction fee to the miners, who will verify your archived posts.

Can posts that were saved on the Susuchain be deleted or removed?

No, they can not be removed from the Susuchain. However, if illegal material is uploaded, the SusuKINO viewer may filter it.
If you see any illegal material on the Susuchain, please report it using the Report button on the SusuKINO viewer.

Why isn't my pool paying out?

If your pool is having difficulty getting payouts to work, please add these two lines to the pool wallet's susucoin.conf file:
